Here's a breakdown of the key aspects highlighted in the description: • Project Planning and Execution: • Plan, execute, and finalize projects within defined timelines and budgets... • Ensure alignment with business and end-user requirements through consultation and input gathering. • Leadership and Collaboration: • Assist agency executive management, division directors, and IT staff. • Lead project tasks, allocate resources, and manage deliverables. • Collaborate with agency staff, vendors, and other state agencies as needed. • Provide leadership, collaboration, supervision, training, guidance, and support to the IT project team. • Project Management Tools and Practices: • Utilize appropriate project management tools, reports, templates, mentoring, training, and coaching for IT project teams. • Apply project management best practices, including risk management, quality management, change management, change control, and communication. • Compliance and Standards: • Ensure agency compliance with the State’s project management policies and standards. • Cross-Functional Coordination: • Coordinate activities for cross-functional teams. • Manage relationships across the Office of Information Technology (OIT), customers, and vendors. • Change Management: • Collaborate to develop and execute a change strategy, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and adoption plans. • Technical Expertise: • Possess a strong background in project management, Information Technology Infrastructure, Cloud, and Cloud Migrations. • Issue Management: • Manage issues and proactively escalate critical issues for immediate resolution. • Demonstrate decision-making, issues management, and resolution skills. Overall, the ideal candidate for this role should be a skilled project manager with a background in IT, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, cloud, and cloud migrations.
